User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:87.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/87.0

Steps to reproduce:

When i start typing "trombi" in the address bar, Firefox makes suggestions including urls of some servers that we don't use anymore in my enterprise. I would like to remove these urls from the list, but neither Del or Maj+Del work.

Actual results:

Old urls stay in the list

Expected results:

Del should remove old entries.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Address Bar

The keyboard shortcut to remove entries from the Urlbar is Shift+Delete. That shortcut will not remove bookmarked results. Are the old servers bookmarked?

Yes it was. I removed the bookmark and didn't manage to remove the url suggestions, but I think I forgot to try again Maj+Del (it works).
It is confusing not to be able to remove suggestions when a website is bookmarked (I use bookmarks very sparsely), I must have tried 3 or 4 times before thinking about the bookmarks.
I think I remember long time ago the shortcut was Del.
Thanks for your help and for this great software.

I agree it's confusing. The bookmark behaviour is confusing and its difficult to discover or remember the Shift+Delete shortcut. We've been thinking about ways to improve this, like an X button on results that lets you remove them.

Yeah, I saw the feature request.
I wish I could remove suggestions even if there is a bookmark (eg bookmark would have a "suggestable" metadata that can be updated to prevent it from appearing in the list). Or maybe have confirm dialog for deleting the bookmark.
But that also could be confusing for other users.
