Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910

There is a news server I use, news.promatrix.com, that does not require a
userid/password. However, without userid/password, available newsgroups are
limited. I have userid/password, but there doesn't seem to be any way to enter
it as Mozilla doesn't think it needs one. There should be a way to enter
userid/password, whether or not Mozilla thinks you need one for the server.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add new usenet server. If Mozilla doesn't think a userid/password is needed,
there is no way to enter userid/password.
Actual Results:
newsgroup setup proceeds as usual, but server does't show groups that require
userid/password.

Expected Results:
Mozilla should allow me to enter userid/password for a news server, whether
Mozilla thinks it is needed or not.

I am unable to Use Mozilla for usenet access because of this problem. I have to
use Outlook Express (barfo).
