Our notifications aren't a part of a tab like they are in Firefox, which is fine, but we don't have anything that listens for a tab closing and removes associated prompts. We should fix that.

In bug 1700279 we're about to land some code that wouldn't be necessary if this bug didn't exist.

The question is: Do we want that?

Currently, we anchor to the unified toolbar and notifications are not bound to a tab. So currently I think not closing the notification is fine.

Managment concluded that we are not going to support permission prompts for camera and similar web things, but use it mainly for add-on related notifications, which are global. The install notification should not close if the add-on manager tab is closed for example.

What is your take on this Geoff? I tend to close this as wontfix.
