Steps to reproduce:
We had a power cut and when I logged back in to Thunderbird none of my accounts or address books were showing
Actual results:
All settings lost
Expected results:
Thunderbird should have given me access to 5 different accounts that I had set up previously. My collected addresses were all still present but my personal and another address book I had set up were empty

Terry, were you able to find your data? The data should be in a profile listed at Help > Troubleshooting > about:profiles

None of the regular Thunderbird profile backups had my data but luckily I found I had a general PC backup from a couple of months previous that did contain a profile file so managed to restore from there, so no further action required

Glad to hear you had a backup.
So after your power cut, the profile directory still existed but only had collected address book?
