User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:87.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/87.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect an external display via HDMI to your MacBook
  2. Open Firefox
  3. Place a browser window in both screens
  4. On the MacBook screen, play a full-screen video.

Actual results:

The video does not play in full screen but the menu bar and dock have disappeared.

Expected results:

The video is played back in full screen.

Product: Firefox → Core
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64

I cannot reproduce it on my MacBook Pro 2017 10.15 Catalina, when connecting the second screens with either USB-C or HDMI.

When moving the window across the screens, my Firefox browser only shows on one side. If most of the Window's body is in MBP's built-in screen, then the rest of the window body in the second screen disappears, and vice versa. It doesn't seems a Firefox problem since Chrome has the same problem on my MBP.

When I click the enter the full screen of one video, it works fine in the screen containing the major body of the Window.

Moving this to graphic to see if they have a better guess. If the video can play through, it doesn't seem we have a video problem.
