I would like to see client certificate authentication implemented. Currently (as far as I know) Mozilla is the only browser that supports this under OS X (OmniWeb and IE don't support it).
ahp+mozilla@hilander.com, can you provide a URL or other example that demonstrates that this works in Mozilla but not in Chimera?
https://www.hilander.com/ssltest I've got it setup with all the major CAs, so any client-side cert you have should work just fine.
Confirming.

it'd be good to have this in the next release. for example, there are internal sites at work which require certs. it'd be good for camino to deal with 'em. :).

fyi, there is a workaround in that you can copy your certs from your moz profile into your camino profile and they work as expected (since camino is mozilla).

I have tried doing this workaround (copying the Security directory) but it still does not work.

Copying a profile wih the required certificate is not enough. Probably because the crypto database is initially locked, and the user never has had the opportunity to enter the password.
(In reply to comment #8) > Copying a profile wih the required certificate is not enough. I copied the appropriate files from my Mozilla settings and when I enter a site which requests my certificate the password dialog shows up just fine.
Patch in bug 151656 fixes this.
