Affected versions
- Firefox 89.0a1 (BuildId:20210406152948)
Affected platforms
- macOS 10.15.7
- macOS 10.14
Unaffected platforms
- Windows 10 64bit.
- Ubuntu 20.04
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox.
- Access the following link
- Double-tap to zoom on a section from the page.
- Right click on the tab in order to bring up the context menu.
- Duplicate the tab.
Expected result
- The zoom level and position which was triggered by the double-tap to zoom is preserved for the duplicated tab (as in Safari & Chrome).
Actual result
- The scroll position seems to be preserved but the zoom level is not.
Regression Range
- I don’t think that this is a regression.
Notes
- It seems that the pinch to zoom level is also not preserved for the duplicated tab.
- Access the following link (Mozilla account needed) for screencast.
- The double-tap to zoom is disabled by default in Beta 88 so I'm marking the 88 flag as disabled.

Thanks for the report. This is a known issue that affects APZ zooming regardless of the method (e.g. double-tap vs. pinch gesture).
