Details

Browser freezes when attempting to send a mail or sending off a message via a mail-to-window. (Receiving mail is fine)
The same occurs on version 1.2.1 for AIX (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; AIX 0001B53F4C00; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021203) -- downloaded I believe 2002/12/04 from the mozilla ftp site. The mail is sent but it creats 4 files in $TMP: nscopy.tmp, nsmail.eml nsmail/html nsmail.tmp of which nscopy.tmp keeps growing. However...as I started this comment and grabbed the version number, I noted that the reported version was 1.2 although it was from the 1.2.1 directory. Therefore, I checked the ftp site again and found a version posted on 2002/12/09 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; AIX 0001B53F4C00; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021209). In this version, mail is sent as expected. Caveat: Of course, this may or may not be related to the Mac System 9.x report, but the symptom is, and rather than submit a new bug for something that while less than 2 weeks old has been superceded, this bug is still open, therefore the comment is perhaps merited.
Reporter: Do you mean Mozilla Mailnews or grendel ?
no grendel bug and reporter doesn't use mozilla mail anymore.
