User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:89.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/89.0

Steps to reproduce:

Updated nightly and having proton enabled

Actual results:

Container indicator are now on top. For users that will get proton UI on stable, it will be really confusing as the top marker was marking the selected tab.

Expected results:

Either put it back on the bottom, or find a new way to indicate that it is a container tab.

Maybe a kind of badge in a corner of the tab à la audio in playing in pinned mode (bottom left corner?)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi Geobert,

Thank you for taking your time to report this issue.
Could you please look into this issue Bug 1696525, where the container indicator has been addressed.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your answer!

The current ticket is basically saying that the ticket you point to is confusing when transitionning to Proton UI :)

I also find this change very jarring and a step backwards. Previously the indicators served as a nice separator between the tabs and the toolbar below. The new style is also 1px thicker (3px vs 2px before), making them more distracting.

I'll attach a few screenshots to show how it looks on my setup.
