Setup: 'browser.aboutwelcome.design' set to 'proton'
Visit about:welcome and start onboarding flow
Attempt to click on one of the pagination dots to go back to previous slide
expected behavior/ what did you think will happen?
I expect to be back able to go back to the previous slide
actual behavior/ what actually happened?
I cannot use the pagination dots to go back

I think what's happening here is the user was never intended to be allowed to go back to the previous slide, but we're using pagination dots to indicate progress/steps remaining. In my opinion pagination dots are meant to be interactive (see iOS homescreen, web carousels), so if we are explicitly not allowing the user to go back to the previous slide another UI element may be better suited for this (e.g. progress bar, maybe even numbered steps).

Thanks for filing!
This is by design since we want the users to make forward progress and the UI serves as a way to foreshadow to the users the number of steps till the end.
I will close this bug since it's not in scope for MR1.

FYI, the back/forward buttons do work on about:welcome
