Severity: normal → critical
a) Are you sure that you don't visit a page with flash and your audio device is busy (XMMS) ? b) which page (example) ? invalid without more informations
Works for me, using solaris nightly 2002121122. The page in question contains a flash banner. I suspect this is the bug with flash and the audio device. Isblepar, can you reproduce this with current versions of mozilla and the flash plugin? If so, please try the following: 1) If using gnome, run mozilla by means of the esddsp utility. 2) If using KDE, run mozilla by means of artsdsp. 3) Otherwise, shut down any programs that might be using the audio device. Please update this bug report with the results of this test. See bug 177420 and bug 181756 for some more discussion on audio device sharing under linux.
Still works for me, using linux nightly 20030208. I got a page containing a flash advertisement, but I run mozilla under artsdsp so hanging has never been a problem. No response from the reporter. I'm resolving this as a dupe of one of the other flash hang bugs. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 177420 ***
