steps to reproduce/what did you do?

• Updated Firefox Nightly
• Go to about:config
• Set browser.aboutwelcome.design to proton
• Visit about:welcome

expected behavior/ what did you think will happen?

I expected to see the page that says e.g. Welcome to Firefox, Always use Firefox, and Skip.

actual behavior/ what actually happened?

My page is different. Screenshot attached. It is off-centered, does not have a skip button, and says Make Nightly your default, with a button that says Make Default and no other options.

Ed, is this bug valid?
My understanding is that we don't need the pref anymore

The pref was removed as part of bug 1704571 graduation.

frank, did you see some instructions specifically mentioning the pref? Perhaps that documentation should be updated as just the main proton pref needs to be enabled when using nightly

Hey Ed, this was from the foxfooding doc. If you search that doc you'll find the pref specifically mentioned.
