In bug 1703943, the app menu button badge colors were adjusted so that the toolbar color is now used as the foreground color for the badge icon. In all of the built-in themes this works well, but it could be a problem if the theme uses a toolbar color that's similar to one of the badge's background color, say a deep green or orange; all or part of the badge could effectively disappear in that case.
