Steps to reproduce:
- open the official pointer lock demo from MDN: https://mdn.github.io/dom-examples/pointer-lock/
- focus mouse pointer in the black area
Actual results:

The read circle in the black area move from top to bottom automatically without any user input.

When user try to control the mouse pointer, the red circle move to unexpectedly
Expected results:
- The red circle should be static without user input
- The red circle should move smoothly under user's control

Thanks for reporting this!
I could not reproduce this. Could you try if you still see the issue with clean profile?
And if it used to work well on the early version of Firefox, it would be very helpful if you could help to get a regression window by running mozregression.

Cannot reproduce it on nightly 98, Win11.
