Steps to reproduce:

1. Visit https://google.com/maps
2. Type in desired location into the search box.

Actual results:

The text colour blends with the search box background and becomes impossible to see.

Expected results:

The text colour should be darker than the search box background.

I have noticed this behaviour in a number of other websites. I'd list the two that quickly comes to mind.

1. https://www.cyberciti.biz/
2. https://www.nairaland.com/ (Try to read one of the listed topics to see how the colours change).

Hey Roy,
Do you have some special settings towards the text color because I tried reproducing this on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 90.0a1 (2021-04-20), beta 89.0b1 and release 88.0 and 87.0 on all 3 of the provided sites but the text is perfectly visible for me. I did not alter the text in any way though (be it from Windows settings or Firefox settings).

Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Also a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .
