TB displays empty space at the beginning of the body if the headers don't fit in the headerpane. The body begins, where the invisible headers would stop.

This can be triggered by Menu: View -> Headers -> All
If there are enough headers, the body may be completely empty.

Regression from https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/94b1d1b981b2

With https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D112256?vs=on&id=427909#toc this would work.

Alessandro, do you see a solution or should we revert the check-in and use the other approach? I'd have a patch that would do this.

Indeed, that was a mistake. Totally missed this issue.
Let' backout https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/94b1d1b981b2 and mark this as duplicate of bug 1703988.
Then we can implement your first solution.
