I don't think this is a blocker, but more like a stretch goal for this project.

Uses URL object and builds searchParams programatically, in order to support URLs with hash portion.

I don't have time to work on this currently. Perhaps we can revisit this in the future when/if we roll out the feature to more channels by default.
