Steps to reproduce:

  1. Mark some message(s) in inbox
  2. Click left mouse button and drag the message(s) towards some other folder.

Observed: Half-way, the messages no longer move with the mouse cursor (they just "freeze").

Expected: The messages should always move with the cursor.

  1. Move mouse to the destination folder and release mouse button.

Observed:

  • Dragged messages are no longer shown.
  • Messages are not moved.

Expected: Messages should be moved.

Hello Jens, thanks for this bug report.
What you're seeing are the exact symptoms of bug 458570, so I'll dupe this there for now.
I've tested this in cooperation with Richard (:paenglab) on 89.0b2 (64-Bit) and that's exactly what happens on IMAP.

  • DnD seems to work correctly if not interrupted by new mail notification, can you confirm that?
  • What's the type of your account where you have seen this?

I saw this on an IMAP account, but reproduced with a local account now. This has nothing to do with interruptions by new mails.

See attached video. On the last try, the message is moved to "TEST", even though "Trash" is highlighted.

After another TB upgrade to the newest beta and then a reboot I actually cannot reproduce this any more ...
