This is not the case with Mozilla builds up to 2002092308. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install Getright and Gertright plugin (from www.getright.com) to catch download clicks 2.try a download 3. Getright's web page says "This plugin *should* work with all recent Windows versions of... Mozilla and Netscape 6.x." (emphasis mine), but I'm sure they haven't tested it against the current Mozilla Trunk builds. :) Which version of Getright are you using? Over to plugins for triage.

Summary: Mozilla crashes with GetRight Plugin → Mozilla crashes with GetRight Plugin [@ NPGetRt1.dll]
-> default owner I dunno if they want to help us because the mozilla developers rejected the getright developers. (They asked for a way to catch downloads in Mozilla and NS without plugin because the plugin is only a workaround. NS4.7X has some registry keys for this)

The GetRight version is 4.5d (latest available from www.getright.com) The plugin version is 1.3 (latest available from www.getright.com/opera.html) Pls. take into account also, that it works with Mozilla builds 1.0, 1.1, 1.2b, up to nightly 2002092308 (at least).
Who rejected the GetRight folks? We would gladly work with them to get the plug-in working in our app.
*** Bug 180278 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I mean with rejected : " no solution" after over 1.5 years. see bug 58744 (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58744#c22) The plugin is only a workaround and tehy want a real solution like in NS4.7x or IE Helmut Leiniger: Is this now fixed or still broken ?
assigning to anthonyd: can you run this through a debugger as well so we can contact the developers about the issues.

I have the same problem with the Star Downloader plug-in in the nightlies, but not in the 1.2 release. I hope this information is useful in tracking down this bug's cause.
to comment 8 : there seems to be a general bugginess with downloaders in the latest nightlies : bug 182843 shows problems with Download Accelerator. Perhaps that one is related to this one?
this should now work, please reopen if you see this with 1.3 or later builds.
