Followup for bug 1680128: the following combination of settings was reported to create flickering on MacOS from multiple sources:

gfx.webrender.compositor false
gfx.webrender.software true

Quoting from bug 1680128 comment 17:

That sounds like there's some issue with invalidation or dirty rects maybe needing to be flipped as well somewhere inside RenderCompositorNative.
