I'd say this is expected as we just added a whole new library. 310 KiB is 10 times smaller than the static library size (3,414 KiB for jxl_dec-static.lib
on Windows) and thus is within the expected range.

Do you think comment #1 is a valid reason? To follow the words from the build metrics regression doc, the patches are required to add JXL support and there is no good alternative.
