Bug 1709664 adds a reftest based on a video from the wild. There's a couple of problems with the video used
- The video ends up getting small diffs when used in the reftest
- It has a large resolution, so we get a lot of small diffs
Ideally, we could use a file with similar variable duration presentation time stamps, but with solid colour frames, so the ref test doesn't have to be as fuzzy.
I didn't do this during bug 1709664 due to timeboxing, but I think it should be possible using ffmpeg filters to set the pts on a video. Something like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61397353/conversion-of-images-to-video-with-variable-fps-using-ffmpeg may be of use.
