User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/13.1.2 Safari/605.1.15
Steps to reproduce:
Open URL:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/48.0.2/system-requirements/
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/48.0.1/system-requirements/
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/48.0/system-requirements/
Actual results:
"Mac
Operating Systems
Mac OS X 10.9
Mac OS X 10.10
Mac OS X 10.11"
Expected results:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-osx
states, "Starting with Firefox version 49, Firefox requires Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or higher" (ie, not ≥ v48).
Indeed, the Mac Firefox v48.0.2 installation package includes the file "Info.plist" that apparently indicates the minimum system requirement to be [OS X] "10.6" (not 10.9 as the web site claims):
"<key>LSMinimumSystemVersion</key><string>10.6</string>"
Mac Firefox 48.0.2 appears to install and function properly without error report on OS X 10.8.5.
Thank you for your personal time and efforts—I very much appreciate you taking the time to read and route this message as needed. :-)
May God continue to protect and bless you, your associates and your families.
Sincerely,
Steve Webert
