171065 - [non-XP] Candidate window for MS PinYin IME v3 (standalone version) is placed at wrong position

Build: 2002-09-26 branch and trunk
OS: SC Win98SE, SC WinME, SC WinNT4+SP6, SC Win2K and EN Win2K

Steps:
1. Download MS PinYin IME v3 standalone version from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=35906&LangID=24&LangDI
R=cn&OpSysID=925&Search=Keywords&Value=%C6%B4%D2%F4&Show=Alpha&Start=&Page=0
2. Install/update MS PinYin v3 standalone version.
3. Open browser, try MS PinYin IME v3 in any input areas, and observe the 
position of the candidate window.

Actual:
The candidate window is always located in the top-left corner of the screen.

Note:
1. The internal version of MS PinYin IME v3 is 4217.
2. It is not reproducible if install/update MS PinYin IME v3 from SC Office XP 
on SC Win2K.

Rui, this only happens on non-xp windows, right? Windows XP already comes with
MS PinYin IME v3. Added [non-XP] in the summary. This is different with bug 170849.

Better to add [non-XP] since Roy had a patch before and checked in for XP only.

roy, I know what you intend to do, and it works fine on my computer. But your
patch does not even compile. "ZH_CN_MS_PINYIN_IME_3_0" macro is not defined
correctly. 
I would like to see something like "NEED_CARET_IME".

I don't see any problem on WinXP with current (newer) implementation. I think that this should be fixed by bug 113423 even if there are some IMEs which have same problem and can run on XP and later. If you can see similar problem with other IMEs, please file a new bug and CC me.
