Several times I have noticed that Firefox is downloading files with the wrong extension, before I just deleted these files thinking it was an attempt to infect PC by a hacker. Recently, I wanted to check if the same problem occurs with Chrome, so I was looking on the net for a similar case. I only managed with this guide (link in url section). When I download in using Firefox it start dowloading *msi extansion scaned with virustostal 6 red mark, but when i try to dowload it with Chrome it start dowloading *pdf extansion as it should be scaned with virustostal all mark green.

I get the right file name as expected, as does my colleague. Does this happen with many different sites, or just this one? If it's a lot of sites it's more likely to be some setting on your browser or computer. If it's just this one we should investigate that.

Have you tried running Firefox in "Troubleshooting Mode" (found on the Help menu). This will temporarily disable extensions to make sure they aren't the source of this odd behavior.
