User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020925 Netscape6/6.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020925 Netscape6/6.5 Smileys are not being inserted in html emails when clicking on either the smiley menu or the buttons. This worked fine in the last build I had. Also noticed that clicking on an email address and choosing compose email to... now opens a plain text compose window despite my default being set to html. I know these are two separate bugs, but there might be a relationship, so I just thought I'd mention it here. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click New button to create a new email 2. Click into body of email 3. Click on a smiley button, or click the Instert -> Smiley -> and choose one Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: The chosen smiley (emoticon) should have been inserted. Also note that selecting across where the smiley should be and choosing insert -> html shows that no html code was inserted either. Similar to bug 70031 bug that bug's summary is misleading and that bug is ancient.
this seems a dupe of bug 170072, but it might also be related with the html-editor/text-editor confusion that the reporter mentions
