At least on my VM, this failure is caused when pressing the End key fails to do anything. I think this might be a real regression, and in the time frame bug 1712724 looks like a possible cause. Home, Page Up and Page Down also appear to not be working in text fields. But it could just be my VM mangling keyboard events.

Changing the simulated key from End to Down fixes the problem, and I'll make that change if no other solution emerges, but it's a poor solution.

Does this only happen in tests or do users have the same problem? (IOW, is there some failure in the event synthesis code?) Why does it work in the other copy of the test, in which the dialog is a real dialog window?
