Steps to reproduce:

-start Firefox browser
-open a PDF document that is stored on the PC (my PDF has over a hundred pages)

• use STRG+F to find a word. (that works)
• now drag the tab containing the PDF into a new window or just another open window.
• do the search for the same word again. (now it just finds results on the current page or nearby pages)

Actual results:

"normal" search for a word works document wide

after dragging the PDF document to another or a new tab the pdf-search only finds matches on the page, that is currently looked at or nearby pages (that depends on the document used)

Expected results:

after dragging the PDF document tab to another Firefox window or into a new window, the pdf-search should also work document wide.
