User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:88.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/88.0
Steps to reproduce:
-
Type.
-
Check screen, find that I slipped and hit the caps lock key and the last few lines are all in caps.
Actual results:
- There's no context-menu option to switch capitalization, so I have to retype everything, check again, sometimes retype everything again...
Expected results:
- It'd be very helpful to have a context-menu option to change capitalization.
"Why don't you learn to touch type?"
I have coordination problems and have a lot of trouble using 2 hands or 3+ fingers at once. So I have to go back and forth with 1 hand. If I don't watch the keyboard, it's easy to end up 1 key off in any direction. If I do, it's still easy to slip and hit the neighboring key, such as caps lock.
Most of the time, I can check the screen, and manually correct mis-spellings, but it is unduly hard to correct capitalization due to caps lock.
Safari has a similar feature, Chrome does not, migraine warning for non-scrolling sidebar at the link:

Wordservice provides a similar feature across Mac Apps, but it's hidden in a hard-to-read menu with tiny text.
Thanks MarjaE for opening this enhancement, i will set it as new in order for the devs to check it out.
Firefox , nightly 91 , beta 90.0b4 , and release 89.0 don´t have a toolbar option for changing capitalization.

In my case, disabling Caps Lock isn't an option, because some input settings use Caps Lock to switch between different alphabets.
