Steps to reproduce:

Change the sorting of emails to sort by date

Actual results:

The emails are sorted by date and the last selected email is shown

Expected results:

If the default date sorting is set to descending, the latest email should be selected.

And probably the default sorting should be descending by date, so that the latest mail is shown on the top and is selected.
