Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:89.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/89.0

Steps to reproduce:

Once firefox updated to 89.0 I started noticing this problem.

Eject a Yubikey 5C nano security key and Firefox will crash every time.

Actual results:

Firefox crashes everytime the Yubikey is ejected

Expected results:

Firefox should not crash

It seems to be fixed in the Beta build of Firefox 90.0b5

Glad to hear that this appears to be fixed. Could you try running mozregression to see when this got fixed? If you are using the command line version of mozregression, you can use the --find-fix argument to do so.

I have tried with mozregression and cannot find a build that fails. I have even installed a clean version of 89.0 and I can't replicate it. It must be a plugin or similar that crashes the browser.

I will investigate a little more.

I will investigate a little more.

Have you found any more?

Unfortunately I was not able to identify the root cause. This problem is now solved in Firefox 91.0b9. I think that this issue can be closed.
