User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:89.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/89.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Set Windows 7 or 10 to "High Contrast Black" color scheme.
- Start Firefox.
- Go to Tools > Options.
- Scroll down the right pane so that the "Color" button is visible.
- Move the mouse over the "Color" button.
Actual results:
When mouse is over button, the button changes from white on black to black on black.
This issue occurs when the mouse is passed over any button in any of the Option pages.
Expected results:
Button should change to another color other than black, perhaps using one of the color scheme's colors other than the background or text colors.

Hey David,
I tried reproducing this issue on the latest versions of Firefox 91.0a1 (2021-06-10), beta 90.0b5 and release 89.0 but there are no problems when placing the cursor over since it changes to blue and the cursor is still white.
Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Also a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .

I downloaded the nightly build and the issue has been resolved in the nightky.

This issue exists if I run FF 89 in safe mode.

I downloaded the nightly build and the issue has been resolved in the nightky.
When it doesn't exist in nightly, for it to be fixed in release someone would need to identify the fix and mark that bug for uplift. But your nightly version (91?) has long since been released, so the issue should also not exist in newre releases.

Works OK in nightly 108.0a 64-bit... can be closed as resolved.
