Recently, Firefox video playback has been crackling/stuttering for both the audio and video. This also exists in Google Meet calls. I tried disabling media.webspeech.synth.enabled but to no avail. Currently running macOS 11.4 with Okta, Honey, Bitwarden, AdBlock and Grammarly extensions installed

I also tried in a Private Window, which didn't work

Hi masonc74,

Thanks for the report. Would you mind sharing the video link causing this problem? Does this happens only for specific video, or only when using high resolution? Can this problem be reproduced for audio-only media (e.g., spotify / Soundcloud)? In addition, could you paste the information on your about:support page here?

If this problem frequently happens, could you record the Firefox performance by using Firefox profiler? The recorded profile would be really useful for us to investigate the potential causes.
