Missing "view image" option in right-click context menu

Steps to reproduce:
Downloaded latest version of firefox, right clicked on an image, and observed that "view image" is no longer an option.
Actual results:
"View image" is not there. Instead "open image in new tab" is there, which is useless for my purposes.
Expected results:
"View image" option is there, or ability to enable "view image" via about:config should be available.
Devs have met the demand to reintroduce "view image info" via an about:config option. The same should be done for "view image" option.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Menus' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

While I would really like some way to configure or otherwise get the old behavior again as well this does seem to be a duplicate of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1699128
If the maintainers' perspective on the [maintenance | complexity] cost of an about:config option changes I can offer to write a patch if it helps.
