This occirs when trying to purchase funds at Vanguard. My personal data does not
appear in the Buy & Sell tab. The pull down menues do not list the proper
alternatives needed to make the tranaction

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log in to secure Vanguard Site
2.Click ou Buy or Sell tab
3.Dialogue window opens
4. My accounts and funds are listedbut Amounts do not appear
5. Proper alternatives do not appear in pull down menus
Actual Results:  
Could not purcahse stocks on line by tranferring funds from my bank

Expected Results:  
Showed amounts in various funds. Showed more alternatives in pull down menus.

Works fine in IE6. I spoke to a techie at Vanguard who said they are working the
problem?

had been tested with IE and Netscape. I had to go to IE to complete the

Howard, does this work for you in Mozilla 1.3 or later?
FWIW, I just ran into similar problems with Win98SE Mozilla 1.3 Gecko/20030312,
at flagship3.vanguard.com .  Tried funds transfer process (from other company to
Vanguard), and got stuck at "Financial Institution Search" step, in a popup
window.  Using iE-6, another popup appears with search results. In Mozilla 1.3
and Phoenix 0.5, an hourglass appears briefly after hitting "find", but results
window does not appear.  FWIW, iE-6 got farther (thru step 4 of 5), but also
failed to complete my transaction.

Sorry that I did not get back sooner, the Vanguard site has been working just
fine  for some months now. I'm using:

one of the best references/recommendations I've found for encouraging financial institutions to support firefox is located at bankers on-line web site

It was written in 2004 during the download.ject attack, but much of it still applies today.  This is a good link to send when contacting banks.
INCOMPLETE due to lack of activity since the end of 2009.

If someone is willing to investigate the issues raised in this bug to determine whether they still exist, *and* work with the site in question to fix any existing issues, please feel free to re-open and assign to yourself.
