If an e-mail is "a multi-part message in MIME format" and you try forward it the
body of the message would disappear.
The target person get a message which contain one line only:
"This is a multi-part message in MIME format."
I saw my "Sent" folder and I saw this line too:
"This is a multi-part message in MIME format."
The "Reply" works correctly.
I will attach a sample mail.
Reproducible: Always

Using yesterday trunk build on Win2K, I am not able to reproduce this problem
either when doing forward inline (HTML compose), Forward Inline (Plain Text
compose) or Forward as attachment!
Peter, can you try a more recent build?
dup of 168386, which was reproduced with the 9-17 branch and trunk builds. I
will also check to see if that bug still exists the latest builds.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 168386 ***

Note, this is is a dup if the reporter was forwarding inline in plain text
format. I will wait for reporter to confirm that criteria, reopening until then.

I have a very similar bug here : I answered a message I got from a friend, which
is a multi-part message with mime, and the recipient an nearly empty message,
with the sole sentence : "This is a multi-part message in MIME format"
My version is 1.2.1 on win2k. My reply options are (in prefs) "As attachment",
Automatically quote, and "start my reply abovethe quoted text"

Hi,
same problem. mozilla 1.2.1 on NT4 and on W2K, when replying or forwarding or
composing and using the attached signature, message sent contents only the
"multi-part message in MIME form" strings as mentionned ; all contents typed is
lost. If I compose in plain text, no problems ; if the users have a text
signature, no problems.
Very annoing, makes the mail unusable.

i've been seeing this bug for a while too, i'm quite sad because its made me
switch back to pine. i even wiped my profile and reinstalled mozilla to no
avail. i'd love to help solve this. i'm using 1.2.1 on win2k.
The dup bug was working fine on the trunk build dated 12-26-2002 and again on
1-3-2003. Josh, Pol and Arnaud what is the build date of your app? If earlier
than 12-26 please take a new build to see if you still see the problem. Thanks

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
