User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021001 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021001 One more than one occassion, I have visited slashdot.org and seen a large space in the text in the story description. In that space should have been just an apostrophe. The same page rendered okay in OmniWeb, IE. The problem seems to go away when: 1) Clicking on the "Read More" link. The story description rendered correctly 2) More stories were added to the slashdot front page. Would this be indicative of bad HTML on slashdot? If so, I would hope mozilla would handle it better. The problem was most interesting when selecting the text near the apostrophe. As I selected the text from left to right leading up the apostrophe, the text to the right of the blank space moved to the left, making the gap smaller. Once the selection was one character to the left of where the apostrophe should be, there was no space. If I extended the selection past the point of the apostrophe, the text to the right was garbled (characters drawn over each other). As soon I I figured out how to attached documents to this report, I'll attach pictures. "apostrohpe1.tiff" will show the space where the apostrohpe should be. apostrohpe2.tiff - aprostrophe4.tiff show how the text moves as it is selected. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit the page slashdot.org 2. Look for a story description with an apostrophe. 3. Sometimes there will be a large space instead of an apostrophe. It seems to depend on the elements on the rest of the page. Actual Results: See details above Expected Results: Simply displayed an apostrophe. default theme

if the selection is extended past where the apostrohpe would normally be, the text to the right continues to move, overdrawing other text.
