RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 223169

Seeing as roaming profile is not implemented yet, I find it useful to copy my
own user.js, bookmarks.html, cookperm.txt, etc., files into the default profiles
on each computer I use at school. Although there are default paths specified,
sometimes the administrators change that. Add to that the fact that across
different platforms, paths are different, and it becomes really irritating
trying to guess where the profile data is located. I don't know if there is a
way to find that out currently, but since I couldn't find it, it means it is a
tad obscure. about:profile would also be obscure (unless well documented), but
it would be better than nothing.
Apparently you can gather the path from about:config, but again not as evident.

dupe of 223169 ?
bug #223169 is a newer bug than this one, more features but necessarily better
although we normally dupe newer to older, the newer one in this case is more
coherent and fixable, IMO
