Details

We have had a request to show performance comparisons for standard and strict mode browsing.

Must have:

Standard vs strict mode browsing on desktop

Nice to have:

Standard vs private browsing mode on desktop

Strict mode vs private browsing mode on desktop

As this is a one-off request I suggest running our high value page load tests. Using live page load tests will give us a more realistic comparison and avoid any complications from the recordings being made using standard browsing mode. If using live sites then all comparisons would need to be made as close to each other as possible to reduce the risk of external factors impacting our results.

:alexandrui, can you try using the recorded ones to see what the comparison looks like there?

The live-site numbers make sense though, I expect to see an improvement when strict mode is turned on.
