Not sure if this is platform issue, as I'm also able to reproduce it on the mobile view of Firefox desktop with the profile Nokia 8110 4G.

Adding Emilio, as he has worked on similar autoplay issues, hopefully he can help us to clarify if this is a platform bug. Thanks in advance.

I see the page fall back to a gif, which isn't affected by video autoplay settings (and that's expected)... Is that what you see?

Oh, apparently some of the reports in the original issue claim there is sound? (and thus that it is a video?)
I'll take a closer look at that.

I created a small video, hope it helps to reproduce. To be able to see the issue I have to scroll down to the video section, and wait for the content to load. This is the same issue that we are seeing on Fenix. Let me know if that helps or I could help with anything else :)

Our default blocking autoplay policy would only block autoplay before the page get activated by user gestures, so when you click on the page (for continuing viewing this on the browser), that already activate the page and unblock the page. If users want to avoid this situation, they can change the blocking strategy.
