1. Go to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi and choose any product
2. See the line "Before reporting a bug, make sure you've read our bug writing guidelines." in the preamble, linking to https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines
3. Click that link

Get:

Page not found
Sorry, the page /en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines could not be found.

Obviously the redirect from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html is also broken thanks to this.

It might be a tradition to break URLs about every five years, see e.g bug 1252628.

Confirmed. The same link URL is used in other places as well (on the https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ home page at minimum, as well as in alternative views of /enter_bug.cgi where the text containing the link reads "These guidelines explain how to write effective bug reports."

As such, making the existing URL work again would seem preferable to changing it to a new URL.

Verified that is an issue and lots of other pages have been removed from MDN, not just the bug writing guidelines. We will need to track down the old page content and find somewhere else to host. Maybe in the BMO code itself. The link is included in 9 places in BMO code so this needs to be fixed soon.
