Incorrect display. : The initial part of the first message is hidden. Unusable.

The initial part of the first message of a threaded message group in the message pane is incorrect. It does not show the first part. It is overlaid with the heading and is not visible.

I resized the whole TB window and then the initial part of the first message is shown correctly.
Just out of curiosity, I resized the window to the original size, and the correct display is maintained.
So there is a history-sensitive issue, the initial problem appears at certain times which is quite awkward.

I can confirm this bug. I see it when:
a) I close a previously expanded thread, and
b) the last line of the header-view-toolbox would fit into the preceding line if there were no buttons in the upper right corner.
The effect can be reproduced by switching the hidden property of the header-view-toolbar via the Developer Toolbox.
