User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:90.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/90.0

Steps to reproduce:

I used Firefox casually.

I use Windows10 and a 4k Monitor + an older 1920x1080.

Actual results:

Scaling on some Elements is way off. (see Screenshots)

This phenomenon is same on both screens.

Expected results:

Text and and other Elements should scale accordingly.

This has never been an issue and started recently. I did not make changes to my workstation, so the issue comes from either a Firefox or Windows update.

I tried changing High DPI Scaling override in Windows Compatibility settings without success.

Right Click Shortcut -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change high DPI settings -> High DPI scaling override
-> Application: scaling is kind of ok with this setting, but everything is way to large on the low resolution screen
-> System: everything gets blurry, text is very low resolution

I will use the application scaling for now, but hope this gets resolved.

Apparently this was only temporary and after restarting my PC the problem was fixed.

Will post update if I encounter this issue again.

Happened again after some browsing. No idea what might cause it. Restarting my PC fixes the issue.

Hi markus.snasel,
Thanks for the report!
Can you attach your about:support information please?

Could you please also answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue?

1- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create a new profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
2- Are you using add-ons? If so could you please list them? (you can try the issue while in Safe Mode. You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .)
3- Does this issue occur in the latest nightly version of firefox? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/

I've assigned a component in order to get the dev team involved, but if it's not relevant, please feel free to change it to an appropriate one.
Best regards, Clara.

Can you attach your "about:support" information? I suspect this is a WebRender-related issue, but it would be good to confirm.

Will try nightly version, change profile and post my installed add-ons over the weekend.

I am currently not experiencing scaling issues. Apparently they are triggered by some specific action. Not sure what triggers it tough. It occurs after some browsing, and everything is fixed when I restart my PC.

Regards,
Markus
