In the download window, there is a button called "Leave Open" or "Close when
done" in the top row. All other buttons in this row perform an immediate action,
but this is more of a "status modifier".

I can think of two ways to change this:
1. Create a checkbox and name it either "leave open" or "close when done"
2. Create two radio buttons for both stati

Since less words and less options are often better, I suggest to go with the
checkbox and name it "close this window when done". The default value would be
unchecked.

I agree with the poster. I am always confused by the icon and the text. I'm
never sure if "leave open" means it is in the leave-open state, or if clicking
on "leave open" will cause it to be left open. I would also prefer that there be
some indication other than a full progress bar that it was done. Like the word
"finished" or something, and the bar going away.

I also think that window should default to not staying open. When I am copying
files in the finder the progress windows don't stick around afterwards.
