RFE: Build not-often used code/modules with "save code space"-compiler option.

Both gcc and Sun Workshop have options to generate smaller code (e.g. turn-off
code optimisations which generate bigger code (loop unrolling, implicit function
inlining, force of explicit execution of postbranch code, etc.)) - it may save
some space to compile code which isn't used very often (like mailnews profile
migration code etc.) with such options...

an interesting approach. I have no idea where to start on this though, as I
don't know configure.in / build flag stuff very well at all.
The matching compiler options are:
"-Os" for gcc
"-xspace" for Sun Workshop/Forte/Sun One
Can anyone run a non-debug build with stripped symbols on Linux/x86 and see how
much we gain with gcc and "-Os" ?
Futuring this. Someone feel free to take it.

I don't see any useful stuff in this bug for SeaMonkey specifically. Please
file new bugs in the correct places if there are still issues.
