Steps to reproduce:
78.13.0 (32-bit)
I'm on the release update channel. I have a 64-bit machine but I seem to only get 32-bit updates. Dell Latitude E7450 Win 10 Pro
When new mail came in the listing used to be in boldface (unread) and stayed that way until I clicked on it. At that point it would revert to normal face. This made it very easy to see new emails and if I decided I didn't want to read a particular one right away it would stay bold until I clicked on it.
Actual results:
With this latest update all emails come in in normal face even with the "automatically mark message as read box unchecked.
If I check that box, the only only two options are immediately or after so many seconds.
This is new behavior since the latest update
Expected results:
Message are in bold face until clicked, then they change top normal face.
Thunderbird has always operated this way in the past (I've used it for more than 15 years.)

Did you try in -safe-mode? (Add-ons disabled)

Just tried it. In safe mode the mail comes in in bold, as it's supposed to, but even after I open it it stays bold. To get it to show as read I have to right click on the email and mark it as read.
So still not working the way it's supposed.
