I searched and searched but couldn't find a bug to match my current error, tried
uninstalling and reinstall to no avail.

I can't download any files anymore, 
1) the file below give a "can't read source file error":
http://www.mrtech.com/mrsetup_beta.exe
2) If you go here nothing happens:
http://www.beyond3d.com/misc/Anisotest/TextureFilteringTestAndSource.zip

All downloading has been broken since about the 9/28-9/29 daily builds.

This really sucks sometime I get an error sometimes I don't, download manager
doesn't work either, nor the download dialog.
What happens if you right-click and do "Save Link Target As..."?
I have the same problem, but I think it's related to another bug.
