Details

(Keywords: regressionwindow-wanted)

Affected versions

  • Firefox Snap 92.0b6
  • Firefox Snap 91.0.1

Affected platforms

  • Ubuntu 14.04

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Snap Firefox and launch it
  2. Access for example ThinkBroadband and save the 5mb file
  3. After the download is finished, click on downloads and select the folder icon (open containing folder)

Expected result

  • The folder where the file can be found is opened

Actual result

  • Nothing happens

Regression range

  • Will see if there is a regression

Additional notes

  • The issue can be seen in the following attachment
  • The error message is shown in browser console: "NS_ERROR_FAILURE: Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIHandlerInfo.launchWithURI]"
  • Seems to be reproducible only on Ubuntu 14.04
Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → yes

This may be related, but printing doesn't work as well on Ubuntu 14 with snap build installed. Here is an attachment. Possibly some permission issues with the system.

Ah nevermind, I didn't see that it was marked as a duplicate of an existing bug.

Yeah, seems that it has been already logged.
