Steps to reproduce:

I go to stackoverflow https://stackoverflow.com/questions/68863999/why-is-division-parsed-as-regular-expression?noredirect=1#comment121711555_68863999, then open https://translate.google.ru/
translate plausible word then close that tab. Previous tab (StackOverflow) is activated by default. Then I notice this (see video, kazam)

Actual results:

on SO page elements from google translates appear

Expected results:

google translate should be just closed

I can't see your videos in either Firefox or Chrome. Do they work for you? Maybe you could upload them as private videos to youtube or some other similar service and put the links in the bug.

Where do you get your version of Firefox? Did you download it from www.mozilla.org or does it come from your Linux distro? You likely use the Ubuntu one, and they do make some changes. Do you get the same results from a copy of Firefox downloaded from our site?

You seem to be behind a version, too, although maybe it's Ubuntu that's behind. Since this is a graphical issue it would help to know more details about your graphics set up, and whether your copy of Firefox is using "Web Render" or not. You can open the about:support page and find these details.

My distro is Linux mint. I install it via package manager. It was about few years ago.
Then time to time do updates, also via package manager.

After recent update to 90.0.2 I see this glitch with tab.

Video are recorded with help of kazam. Probably you just do not have them. If I download video as file I can see it. But FF still does not open this video, because it does not understand it.

Those video links don't work in Firefox or Chrome. Is there any way for you to export those in a format that, say, YouTube or Vimeo would recognize and then transcode to something browser-friendly?

From the about:support information you're using "Software WebRender" in that Firefox version on that hardware. Some bugs in that system were fixed in Firefox 91 (and more since), but we've also found some problems like this to be due to the Mesa graphics driver (for example, bug 1716652).

It's unfortunate, but not controllable enough to be widely used in a malicious sense. Please do try installing the Firefox 91 version from our site instead of your platform version and see if that helps. (you might need to migrate your settings from one to the other if you choose to stick with our version)

FWIW, if I download the .mp4 and open it in VLC, it runs fine (on macOS here).

For the record, it could be that this is a bug in Cinnamon or the drivers.
