Search for something in the awesome bar that you often visit

It looks like you disabled history in results, based on browser.urlbar.suggest.history: false. You can check that in about:preferences / Address Bar.
With history disabled there, the results won't include history results, that's expected.
In comment 2 you have enabled Search Mode for History (See the [History X] chiclet at the beginning of the input field) probably by clicking the history button at the bottom of the urlbar panel. In that mode you get results because you explicitly choose to get history results.
If your disabling of history was not intended, I think you can just check History again in Address Bar settings and that should fix the problem. I don't see a bug off-hand.

I checked about:config and it was set to false, odd as I don't recall ever changing it. Anyway, that fixed the issue, thanks!

Yeah, I did that to show sort of what it looked like when I got the history results without doing it.
